SA Design’s founder Shaheen Aghaipour
Hi, my name is Shaheen Aghaipour, creator of SA Design. I am a self-taught graphic artist. My career path required a leap of faith and a heavy dose of love for art. My understanding of color started early in my childhood. I was able to hear and feel color in every cell of my body. This sense of color made me happy and gave me confidence.
During my twenties I worked in the diplomatic services and taught art on the side. After I got married and had kids, life got really hectic and my dreams were set aside to raise my family. For the first time in my life, I stopped making art.
My family and I moved to Canada in 1980 and after years of studying financial management and accounting I became a financial manager. In doing so, I was trying to tale the more sensible path in life but my yearning for the arts persisted. There was something missing from my life without art.
New Beginnings
I have now restarted my artistic career with SA Design. I gain inspiration for my designs everywhere I go but specifically in gardens and art galleries, and in both
the creative and seemingly mundane. I started small but have recently begun looking at applying my art with SA Design to mass production in the form of textile design, and greeting card and wrapping paper design. My designs are known for their depth, texture and contrast. I have heard they really ‘pop’. Their interpretation is up to the viewer as they are open ended. Please explore SA Design.
